Follow the Hearses
Follow the Hearses is the new album from Welsh one-man black metal project Trve Sagacity.
Rooted in traditional black metal but drawing increasingly on blackened thrash, heavy metal and atmosphere, the album explores death, catastrophe, folklore and remembrance through stories drawn from Wales.
Its songs move between the supernatural and the historical: Welsh death-omens and mythological creatures sit alongside industrial disaster and wartime destruction.
Follow the Hearses focuses on the people caught inside history: miners going underground, families watching the night sky and communities living through catastrophe.

Stories from the Album
450 (Follow the Hearses)
Inspired by the 1880 Penygraig mining disaster. The song follows workers descending into the mine before an underground explosion leaves them trapped 450 feet below the surface. Its closing image of mourners following funeral processions through the valleys gives the album its title.

A civilian-scale view of the Swansea Blitz. A man stands watch near the docks while his family looks toward the night sky, moments before bombing turns light into destruction.
Witch of the Mist (Gwrach y Rhibyn)
A violent reimagining of the Welsh death-omen Gwrach y Rhibyn, transformed from a supernatural warning into a predatory figure emerging from the darkness.
Vile Mongrel
A blackened interpretation of the Cŵn Annwn and the Welsh Otherworld, drawing on the mythology of Arawn, Pwyll and the spectral hounds of Annwn.

Trve Sagacity
Trve Sagacity is the Welsh one-man black metal project of Tristan “Marwolaeth” Walters.
Formed in 2022, the project combines the raw foundations of traditional black metal with thrash-influenced riffing, heavy-metal structure, atmosphere and an increasingly distinctive focus on Welsh history, folklore and place.
Follow the Hearses expands that identity through songs exploring mining tragedy, wartime destruction, mythology, death and remembrance.
